Sports Travel and Tours’ West Coast Classic trip will offer an incredible seven baseball games and tours of three stadiums: Safeco Field in Seattle, Washington; AT&T Park in San Francisco, California; and Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Here’s a look at what you can expect to experience at each. Safeco Field Date/Time: The tour, which is scheduled for Saturday, June 11, is expected to last approximately one hour. Tour Stops: While the tour route is subject to change, the experience traditionally includes stops in areas of the ballpark that are not normally open to the public, including the press box, the private suites, the visitors’ clubhouse and even the dugouts and field itself. All tours depart from the Mariners Team Store, located on the First Avenue South side of Safeco Field, giving you a chance to peruse for potential souvenirs beforehand if you’re a Mariners fan! The tour also covers a walking distance of one mile, so make sure to bring comfortable footwear! Notable Eateries: Edgar’s Homerun Porch (located in section 152, immediately next to the bullpens) The Hot Stove Grill (in section 218) Power Alley Bar (conveniently located in the Mariners Hall of Fame, another must-see destination) AT&T Park Date/Time: The tour, which is scheduled for Tuesday, June 14, will last approximately one hour and thirty minutes. Tour Stops: On your behind-the-scenes tour of AT&T Park, you’ll get to venture inside areas only frequented by players and staff, including the luxury suite, the press box, the visitors’ clubhouse, the visitors’ indoor batting cage, the dugout and the track just on the outskirts of the green. All tours depart from the Giants Dugout Store, located on the side of the stadium facing 3rd Street, again giving you the chance to do some shopping beforehand, if the Giants are your team of choice. Notable Eateries: Public House (located in the Willie Mays Plaza) Anchor Grill (next to the Marina Gate) First Base Carvery (behind section 110) Dodger Stadium Date/Time: The tour, which is scheduled for Thursday, June 16, is expected to last approximately 80 to 90 minutes. Tour Stops: This behind-the-scenes tour lets fans visit some of the most restricted areas and allows them to view the stadium from a whole new perspective. Tour stops include award-winning broadcaster Vin Scully’s press box, the Dodgers’ dugout, the field itself and the Lexus Dugout Club. In particular, the Lexus Dugout Club, the stadium’s VIP restaurant and lounge, houses all of the Dodgers dazzling awards from over the years, including Most Valuable Player awards, Rookie of the Year awards and even World Series trophies. The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the World Series on an impressive six occasions: in 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981 and 1988, and once in 1955 prior to moving from Brooklyn. Tour guests must enter through the Sunset Gate (Gate A), which is located at the intersection of Elysian Park Avenue and Stadium Way. Notable Eateries: Elysian Park Grill (located on Top Deck 6) Think Blue BBQ (in the Left Field Pavilion) Top Deck Dogs (Dodger Stadium’s expert in serving up the iconic Dodger Dogs, Super Dodger Dogs and Brooklyn Dogs, located on Top Deck 5) Travelers on the West Coast Classic trip will also stop at three other ballparks, for which stadium tours are not part of the Sports Travel and Tours package: O.co Coliseum, home of the Oakland Athletics of California, on Monday, June 13; Angel Stadium of Anaheim, California, on Wednesday, June 15; and Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres, also in California, on Friday, June 17.
