Smith holds an important role, Reddekopp said. “Jay’s leadership helps NTA members in so many ways,” he said. “His experience and insight help guide board decisions, and his enthusiasm for travel and for the association is inspiring.”
Smith, a tour operator who specializes in coordinating in travel to sporting games and events nationwide , welcomes the challenge of leadership. “Travel brings joy to people and vitality to local economies,” he said. “I’m proud to work in the tourism industry and pleased to have the opportunity to advance it through NTA.”
Smith and the NTA board will meet throughout the year to create business-building opportunities for NTA members and to advance the association’s legislative goals.
