Wow! What a way to start the tour. Yovani Gallardo of the Brewers throws a one hitter at the Cardinals in their own crib. Busch Stadium, rich in tradition and a spotless ballpark. It was 4H Day at the park so all the farms were closed down so people could attend. For making the effort to get to the park the farmers and everyone else got plaid St. Louis caps. I have no idea what I am going to do with it, that may play well on the farm but in Orange County you just can’t wear that. I had a burger but there was no onions or relish so that was a disappointment. Really good peanuts! Very pleased that Coke was a prominent supporter of the Cards. I was sitting in the third deck and the sight lines were still very good. The arch cut in the outfield was a nice visual reminder of where you were. The weather was beautiful, so all in all a great start to the tour. 1:00 start in Kansas City tomorrow, so leave about 6, and drive 250 miles. Check out the view of the stadium from the arch and my paying respects to Stan the Man.
