At Yankee Stradium on Friday night, Karen and Ronald (See below) were enjoying the dry comfortable weather. (If you remember it was 100 degrees at game time.)
With Sports Travel and Tours, I have been ever so fortunate to be in Cooperstown for the new inductees ceremony numerous times. With these trips, I discovered baseball “Shivering Moments” – things that make you shiver because of the sights, because of the people, because of the experience.
Saturday afternoon was a baseball “Shivering Moment” for me. For the first time, I was able to see the Hall of Fame Parade of Legends. Approximately 50 Hall of Fame members paraded down Main Street, simply waving to the crowd. Did you shiver yet? I just shivered again. Some of you make do this in Rome, or at the Grand Canyon, or meeting a world leader .
The fan favorite at the parade was 2011 Inductee Roberto Alomar. Many loyal fans of Roberto Alomar were thrilled (shiver) as Roberto was introduced.
Sunday – Induction Ceremony for Roberto Alomar, Pat Gillick, and Bert Blyleven.
