Join us to experience the culture and traditional sports of Japan. This fourteen day trip will let you see the history and splendor of Japan. With this we pair Japan's de facto national sport (although this is not an official status) the enthralling and at times bewildering spectacle that is sumo, with the excitement of the undisputed king of team sports in Japan which is is baseball, introduced by an American at the end of the nineteenth century.

Travel to Nara by motorcoach for sightseeing

Kasuga Taisha Shinto Shrine and Todai-ji Temple
Kasuga Taisha is Nara's most celebrated shrine. It was established at the same time as the capital and is dedicated to the deity responsible for the protection of the city. Todai-ji is a Buddhist temple complex that was once one of the powerful Seven Great Temples, located in the city of Nara, Japan. Its Great Buddha Hall houses the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana, known in Japanese as Daibutsu.

Return to Kyoto and visit the Fushimi Inari Shrine
Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of the god Inari, located in Fushimi Ward in Kyoto, Japan. The shrine sits at the base of a mountain also named Inari which is 233 metres above sea level, and includes trails up the mountain to many smaller shrines which span 4 kilometers and take approximately 2 hours to walk up.

Tour the Meiji Shinto Shrine
Meiji Shrine, located in Shibuya, Tokyo, is the Shinto shrine that is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shoken.

Experience Ginza
One of the busiest street in Japan with its high fashion boutiques and department stores. Here you will experience lessons in Japanese culture including Sado (Tea Ceremony), Shodo (Japanese Calligraphy), Waso (kimono) and Batto (Sward Play).

Touring of Tokyo
Visit Tsukiji Outer Market. Travel to Hama Rikyu to enjoy a Sumida River Cruise. Visit Asakusa Kannon Tmeple with its shopping arcade "Nakamise." Transfer to the Ryogoku Kokugikan, also known as the Ryogoku Sumo Hall, to experence one of the greatest sprorting traditions in the world, Sumo.
